Buoyed by the support and attendance of over 200 people at the Rejoice on the River Concert held on June 30, organizers have decided to add another, previously unplanned event, to the summer lineup of concerts being offered at Williams Wharf Landing in Mathews.
It will be held at 6 p.m. this Saturday, July 10, at the landing.
While the first show was strictly Christian music, said a press release, this new event is modeled after the old-fashioned revivals that churches throughout the area used to host. It will include fellowship, praise and the receiving of God’s word before the backdrop of the East River. All are welcome.
Patrick Billups will be speaking and music will be provided by the Mathews Baptist Praise Band, Lynda Smith Greve, David Shuber, Mike Gregg, and Shield of Faith, which includes Michele Thacker, Romie Vaught, and Joe Magyar.
Admission is free. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with food available for purchase by the Seafood Shack and Short Lane Ice Cream Company. Those attendin...
