The Abingdon Ruritan Club has been collecting plastic as an ongoing effort to support a clean Gloucester County environment. Abingdon member Roger Dick has spearheaded this plastic collection effort for many years. Club members collect plastic during community clean-up events as well as having two drop-off donation sites. The plastic is then recycled into Trex benches. The newest bench was recently delivered to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office club members by Roger Dick and Eva Tillage. The two are shown with Gloucester Sheriff Darrell Warren, who accepted the gift.
