SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE
2¾ c. sugar
1½ c. butter or margarine, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. grated orange or lemon peel
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 c. dairy sour cream
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Generously grease and flour 12-c. Bundt pan. In large bowl, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. In medium bowl, combine flour, orange peel, baking powder, and salt. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream beating well after each addition. Pour batter into greased and floured pan. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes; invert onto serving plate. Cool completely. Yield: 16 servings.
