Rebecca Kemp Fanning, age 97, of Hayes, died on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, at her home. Rebecca was born on Feb. 7, 1926 to the late James B. and Ruby Riley Kemp. She loved to cook and work on crafting. She especially loved when family would get together especially at Christmastime. Rebecca was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard D. Fanning and Ernest R. West Sr.; siblings, Vernon Kemp, Martha Kemp McShane, Beverly R. Kemp, Ruby Kemp Kamsch, Bobby Kemp and Oscar Dunston. Rebecca is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service will be held at Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery, conducted by Pastor Richard Whiteheart, at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, 2023.
