Rebecca G. Fischer, 86, of Newport News, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Riverside Regional Medical Center.

Rebecca was a member of Temple Baptist Church and the Agape Sunday School Class.

She loved to read and was an avid Bingo player where she met many folks who became longtime friends.

She is survived by her husband, Don Fischer; sons, Rick Gregory and wife Carrie and Ron Gregory and wife Louise; brother, Henry Gholson.

Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Jan. 8, 2012 at Temple Baptist Church. Inurnment will be private.
