ReadyReef, a reef-building business that got its start on Gwynn’s Island but is now located in Saluda, has been acquired by Davey Resource Group, Inc., a subsidiary of The Davey Tree Expert Company, headquartered in Kent, Ohio.
Established by Chris Davis in 2015, ReadyReef provides living shorelines based on native systems of oysters and marsh grasses, shoreline remediation, and erosion control to clients in southeastern Virginia, said a press release. The company will continue its services as part of DRG’s Native Shorelines team.
“We are eager to expand on ReadyReef’s industry knowledge and exceptional client service by joining the Davey family, said Davis. “DRG’s team of experts and resources will help us continue to expand our services to best serve the needs of current and future clients.”
