Ravenna R. Knight, 89, died on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022, in Mathews, Va. She is survived by two sons, Robert B. Carr and Michael W. Carr; daughter-in-law, Carrie Carr, and sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Dimitria Soulios.

Ravenna and her late husband, William G. Knight, operated a cattle ranch for many years in southeast Oklahoma. Upon retiring in Mathews, Ravenna devoted her attention to the care and welfare of feral cats.

Ravenna was buried on Dec. 1, 2022 in the Radford Cemetery near Floyd, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for those who are able to make a donation to their local animal shelter.
