Rappahannock River Waterfowl Show returns this weekend

The 42nd annual Rappahannock River Waterfowl Show will be held on Saturday, March 18 and Sunday, March 19 at the White Stone firehouse.
A wide variety of wildfowl art including original paintings, prints, decorative carvings, working decoys, folk art carvings, photography, and bronze sculpture, will be available to view and purchase. Exhibitors from six states will be participating.
Color prints of a new painting by Artist of the Year, Jim Wilson of Yorktown, will be given away each day to show visitors. The Preview Night door prize is an original carving by Gordon Martin of Lanexa. The weekend door prize is an original carving by Vernon Bryant of Perryville, Maryland.
The Rappahannock Carvers Guild will have its annual wildfowl-carving contest on Saturday, March 18. Judging will begin at 11 a.m. in the White Stone Woman’s Club building, across the street from the firehouse.
