For a 17th time in the history of Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Journalism Awards, the staff at the Kilmarnock-based Rappahannock Record submitted a winning entry in the division for weekly and semi-weekly newspapers.
Rappahannock Record coverage in the past year has included agritourism events, opportunities to enjoy seasonal Virginia produce, and the overall evolution of agriculture on Virginia’s Northern Neck, according to the VFBF.
VFBF Journalism Awards recognize exemplary ongoing coverage of agriculture issues, practices and events by print and broadcast news operations. Award recipients were announced Nov. 28 at the VFBF Annual Convention in Virginia Beach.
