Rapid Intervention training

Both Gloucester and Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squads co-hosted a Rapid Intervention Team class at GVFRS Station #4 in Harcum earlier this month. The idea of RIT is to be able to self-rescue if you are in trouble and to rescue firefighters in trouble. The training included individual drills and full-scale scenarios for a major problem. Participants also included James City County, West Point, Smithfield and Navy Regional Fire.
