A weekly radio show featuring regional musicians makes its debut Saturday at 7 p.m. at WXGM 99.1 FM in Gloucester, produced by Flat Iron Crossroads.
Dia Lawless, speaking for the Gloucester live music venue, said the weekly program is a cooperative effort “to bring seasoned artists and emerging stars from Virginia and beyond to an audience that ranges from Hampton Roads to Richmond.”
Many of the artists to be featured on the shows have been scheduled to perform this summer at Flat Iron Crossroads, which is located at 7709 Flat Iron Road off Ware Neck Road.
The first show, sponsored by Brent & Becky’s Bulbs, will feature The Twin Brothers Band, a quartet led by Greek twin brothers Paul and Dimitri Yeonas of Richmond; and singer-songwriter Kyle Davis, a native of Hopewell, who performs instrumental arrangements together with reflective and creative lyrics. He has shared the stage with artists such as Sheryl Crow, Dave Matthews and John Prine.
