The Middle Peninsula Amateur Radio Club set up operations at Tompkins Cottage in Mathews on Saturday to promote the cottage and special historical events in Mathews. During the day, the club made contact with amateur radio aficionados in North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio, telling them about local activities.
