Rachel Finch of Poquoson, is approaching the one-year anniversary of being cancer free in November. She was diagnosed with triple negative ductal invasive carcinoma, which is a very aggressive form of breast cancer.
“The Lord definitely carried me through everything,” said Finch, who is the wife of Auto Max of Gloucester sales and marketing specialist Jeff Finch.
At the time that Finch was diagnosed she was a dental assistant at Francis Dentistry, when she went to the doctor for a lung scan.
“I went in for a lung scan and before I even got home, it was on my chart. They already knew,” said Finch. “They had already put on there malignancy grade three.”
Finch said that it was officially confirmed on Feb. 27, 2023 after she had a mammogram on Feb. 15 and a biopsy. She was diagnosed at stage 2B.
