The Guinea Heritage Association’s January 2025 Fourth Friday program will be presented by local educator and historian Ed Morris. The program on Chesapeake Bay steamboats and the communities they served will be held this Friday, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Buck’s Store Museum, Bena.
With his collection of steamboat pictures, Morris will weave together stories about the steamboats, the lines they represented, and the localities they served. This program will be supplemented with a short video by Jerry Varner on local steamboats and the audio of the distinctive steam whistle notes sounded by each boat.
Light refreshments will be served after the program.
