The members of the Piankatank River Ladies’ Golf Association participated in its last play day of the season on Oct. 26 at the Hartfield course. The format was Captain’s Choice, with the foursome of Ellen McGowan, Kim Crannis-Curl, Mary Dorman and Karen Gorin placing first with a score of 69; followed by Christi Lewis, Ann Stanley, Chrystal Welch and Jen Trossbach placing second with 70, and Julie Whitaker, Carol Sennott, Kelly Lowe and Faith McDermott also scoring 70 and placing third (tie broken by scorecard). Also that day, Regina Custis, above, scored a hole in one on hole #14. Custis used a sand wedge for the 64-yard shot.
