The Piankatank River Ladies’ Golf Association held its weekly competition on June 26 at the Hartfield course. Winners of the Stroke Play, Net contest were:
First flight—Nina Carter (first place, 71), Martha Wiggs (second place, 71) and Nancy Pannell (third place, 74). Second flight—Kim Carnis-Curl (first place, 69), Chrystal Welch (second place, 71) and Christi Lewis (third place, 76). Third flight—Donna Lange (first place, 75), Sherri Comer (second place, 75) and Karen Gorin (third place, 75). Ties were broken by a scorecard playoff.
