The Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association held a stroke play net event on July 27 at the Hartfield course. Winners were:
First flight—Nina Carter (first place, 70), Martha Wiggs (second place, 80) and Gloria Matthews (third place, 82). Second flight—Chrystal Welch (first place, 78), Christy Pitts (second place, 78) and June Klink (third place, 79). Third flight—Kay Lloyd (first place, 76), Donna Lange (second place, 79) and Chong Hudgins (third place, 80).
