The Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association kicked off its 2023 season on April 6 at the Hartfield course.
The team of Nina Carter, Kay Lloyd and Gloria Matthews took first place in the captain’s choice tournament with a score of 71. Second place went to Barbara Ronan, Donna Lange, Mary Francisco, also with a score of 71. And Christy Pitts, Michele Meanley, Jo Turkek and Betty Johnson placed third with a score of 72.
