Winners of the Piankatank River Ladies’ Golf Association’s April 10 low gross play day at the Hartfield course included:First flight—Nina Carter (first place, 81), Kay Stout (second place, 82) and Vicky Gunn (third place, 88). Second flight—Ellen McGowan (first place, 99), Bev Tate (second place, 100) and Christi Lewis (third place, 100). Third flight—Chong Hudgins (first place, 100), Mary Dorman (second place, 101) and Gloria Matthews (third place, 106).
Match play
On Wednesday, April 9, teams from Viniterra Golf Course in New Kent competed in a match play event April 9 against the PLGA at the Piankatank course.
The PRLGA won with a score of 12.5 to Viniterra’s 5.5. Later in April, these two groups will compete again this time at Viniterra.
