Members of the Piankatank River Ladies’ Golf Association held a “Criss-Cross” competition on Sept. 21 at the Piankatank River Golf Course, Hartfield.
A field of 21 players counted only the better score for corresponding holes on the front nine and back nine holes on the course. Winners were:
First flight—Martha Wiggs (first place, 32), Nina Carter (second place, 34) and Ellen McGowan (third place, 39). Second flight—June Klink (first place, 39), Chrystal Welch (second place, 41) and Chong Hudgins (third place, 42). Third flight—Lynne Richardson (first place, 44), Karen Gorin (second place, 48) and Sherri Comer (third place, 50).
