The Piankatank River Ladies’ Golf Association played a Captain’s Choice format contest on Thursday, July 4, at the Hartfield course. The foursome of Kay Stout, Bobby Stuck, Sally Austin and Vicky Gunn placed first with a score of 65.
Second- and third-place winners were decided by a tie breaker on the card. The second-place team of Mary Francisco, Taylor Stamer and Bev Tate and third-place finishers Nina Carter, Chong Hudgins and Kim Crannis-Curl each scored 67.
