Members of the Piankatank River Ladies’ Golf Association held an Individual Stroke Play (gross) contest on Thursday, June 13 at the Hartfield course. Winners were:

First flight—Vicky Gunn, Kay Stout and Colleen Robertson. Second flight—Kayce Turner, Chrystal Welch and Christy Pitts. Third flight—Mary Dorman, Chong Hudgins and Sherri Comer.

The previous Thursday, June 6, the PRLGA held a “3-2-1 Net” game. Winning teams were:

First place with a score of 123 (tie-breaker): Nancy Pannell (Cardinal), Ann Stanley (Hartfield), Becky Crannis-Curl (Providence Forge) and Chong Hudgins (Cobbs Creek).

Second place with a score of 123 (tie-breaker): Vicky Gunn (Cobbs Creek), Mary Dorman (Hartfield), Christy Pitts (Deltaville) and Mary Edmonds (Prince George).

Third place with a score of 126: Nina Carter (Gloucester), Kayce Turner (Deltaville), Gloria Matthews (Deltaville) and Karen Gorin (Deltaville).

Christy Pitts won Closest to the Pin on Hole 5.
