Primis Bank supports March for Meals

In recognition of March for Meals, the anniversary of the 1972 amendment to the Older Americans Act that established a national nutrition program, Primis Bank donated $500 to Bay Aging to support the Meals on Wheels program.
Cathy Hogge, Branch Manager/Officer at Primis in Urbanna, presented the contribution to Bay Aging president and CEO Kathy Vesley at the Middlesex Active Lifestyle Center, one of eight Bay Aging ALCs that coordinate meal delivery and serve as sites providing congregate meals.
After their visit to the Middlesex ALC, Hogge and Vesley pitched in to help with meal deliveries at the adjacent Port Town Village, a service-enriched rental community for older adults operated by Bay Aging. With the assistance of more than 400 volunteers, Bay Aging delivers 185,000+ meals annually to residents of the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck.
