Prime Mediterranean, specializing in Italian and Greek cuisine and steaks, opened recently at Topping in Middlesex County.
The restaurant, which was previously Eckhard’s, offers a wide range of food choices, from Spanakopita and Short Rib Ragu to Pear & Cheese Sachiette and Pork Tomahawk. Steak is featured prominently on the menu, including a Dry Aged Ribeye, Sirloin Ciambotta, and New York Strip Au Poivre, but seafood isn’t short-changed, with such offerings as Shrimp Romano, Cioppino, and Taste of the Sea.
The wine menu includes over three dozen choices, while mixed drink options include such entertaining names as The Italian Job Old-Fashioned, Sara’s Flowers and One in the Chamber. There are a number of draft and bottled beers, as well.
