While Christmas seems a long way away, preparations for seasonal activities are not. Rehearsals for Christmas concerts by The Chesapeake Chorale will begin on Monday, Sept. 11, from 7-9 p.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, 57 Whisk Drive, White Stone.
The chorale has drawn members from throughout the region during its 25-year history, and welcomes back all current singers, as well as all who enjoy Christmas music and would like to join this fun group. There are no auditions required.
Beginning on Sept. 18 and each Monday until mid-November, rehearsals will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 303 S. Main Street, Kilmarnock, from 7-9 p.m.
There will be four Christmas concerts taking place on the first weekend in December:
Dec. 1, 8 p.m., Northumberland High School, Heathsville.
Dec. 2, 8 p.m., Lancaster Elementary School (formerly the middle school, Kilmarnock). If construction is not completed, this concert will be held at the Church of the Nazarene.
