The Rev. Dede Parrish, pastor of Beulah Church of New Point and Saint Paul Comfort Church of Susan, opened the Mathews County Woman’s Club new season on September 9 with a prayer breakfast at St. Paul. In addition to her religious role, she displayed a collection of approximately 100 Better Homes and Gardens cookbooks dating back to the 1920s. She told members that she and her mother cooked together and used these guides.
