Pottery workshop to be held at Arts on Main

Stephanie Kessel, owner and operator of York River Pottery Company at Gloucester Point, will demonstrate pottery painting techniques in a series of 10 workshops for adults to be held at Arts on Main. The first session will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, at the Gloucester Court House studio.
Kessel holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from The Savannah College of Art & Design and spent a decade as an interior designer in Washington, D.C., before moving to Gloucester and starting her business in 2015.
While sipping a glass of wine or a beer, participants will paint a stemless wine glass. Kessel will guide them with color selection, painting tips, and glazing options. The painted glasses will be fired and ready for pickup a week later.
Snacks, drinks and materials are included in the $29 fee.
