Port Haywood auto shop announces changes

Haskins Bayside Service Center, located on New Point Comfort Highway at Port Haywood, has made several changes recently.

Leigh Ramos, office manager of the business owned by her husband Haskins Ramos, said the company has added a new vehicle lift and also an oil heater that is environmentally friendly by burning the used motor oil from the shop. Also, the shop added a new mechanical technician.

The company also plans to add a new entrance to better accommodate boats and recreational vehicles in the service center.

Bob Sweet of North, is the new technician. Sweet said he has more than 30 years’ automotive experience, most recently having worked 20-plus years for a White Stone auto repair facility.

Sweet said he specializes in European cars, including Jaguar, Mercedes, BMW and Saab. He is a graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College in Tennessee.
