Danville Police Department Major David Whitley, originally from Gloucester, recently graduated from the Southern Police Institute with the University of Louisville. Whitley earned a spot on the Dean’s List in recognition of his exceptional academic performance in the 12-week academy, with law enforcement leaders from across the U.S. attending the program at the Kentucky campus, a release stated. The Southern Police Institute is an integral part of the Department of Criminal Justice in the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Louisville.
