Some brave souls will be jumping into the chilly waters of the Chesapeake Bay on Saturday morning—all for a good cause.
The third annual Mathews Polar Plunge, to raise money for school supplies for students in the community, will be held at 8 a.m. at Haven Beach. The event was originally scheduled for Jan. 29, but postponed due to inclement weather.
There will be a donation bucket at the beach or people can donate by cash, check or electronic means to event organizer Amy Ashberry.
