As part of Gloucester County’s 2019 Pocahontas Festival, Arts on Main will host “Pocahontas Imagined,” a Print Pop-Up Show featuring artistic representations of Pocahontas, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the gallery on Main Street.
The images on display have been reproduced and will be shared with Gloucester County by the Museum of History & Culture in Richmond. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
In addition to the Print Pop-Up, Arts on Main’s monthly “Color Your Canvas Kidz” class will also be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. that day, featuring artwork loosely inspired by American Indian culture.
The class will be taught by Christina Micket and is appropriate for children ages 5 to 12. Participants will paint a Native American child, a fox, and an eagle in a canoe.
