Over a dozen people participated in Sunday’s fourth annual Mathews County Plog-a-Thon, cleaning up local roads in various parts of the county. The cleanup was organized by the Mathews County Ploggers, a community service organization that promotes combining road cleanup efforts with jogging or walking sessions. Winning gift certificates for their participation were Donna Fisher Frantz of Susan, and Nick Koch of Mathews.
