The Gloucester Arts Festival featured four weeks of arts activities throughout the month of June, including the Plein Air Invitational, in which invited artists submitted pieces for competition. The top winners of this year’s contest were, clockwise from top left, Best in Show/Grand Prize—“Indigo’s Marsh” by Andras Bality; Artists’ Choice—“Mobjack Oysters” by Jim Laurino; Second Place—“Morning Light” by Neal Hughes; and Third Place—“Tranquility” by Andre Lucero. All four works were oil on canvas paintings.
