The Gloucester County Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 tonight, Thursday, Sept. 5, in the colonial courthouse to hold a public hearing on a conditional use permit to establish an event venue on Baileys Wharf Road overlooking the Ware River.
The property is 4.64 acres and is zoned C-2, Bayside Conservation. The existing use of the property is single-family residential and surrounding land uses are also residential.
The applicant, Tiffany A. Hellebrandt, has requested a CUP to establish an event facility, accessory to the existing single-family use, to provide scenic locations for weddings and other special occasions. This is a permitted use in the C-2 district. No new structures are proposed to be built on the property at this time.
