By a 6-0 margin last Thursday night, members of the Gloucester County Planning Commission voted to recommend supervisors adopt proposed changes to the zoning ordinance following an in-depth overhaul of the county’s land use regulations.
Planners did make one adjustment to the proposed changes, getting rid of the option of 12 residential units per acre (with Conditional Use Permit approval) in the Village Mixed Use B-2 district, leaving it at eight units by right.
The next step will be for Gloucester supervisors to hold their own public hearing on the proposal, after which time they can approve the ordinance as drafted, approve it with changes or send it back to the planning commission for revisions.
