Following a public hearing, the Gloucester County Planning Commission unanimously endorsed a request from the owner of a parcel on Short Lane containing office space, seeking to reduce the property’s front yard setback from 75 to 46 feet. The vote was taken at the meeting, which was held last Thursday in the colonial courthouse.
The 3.739-acre parcel, known as the Short Lane Professional Center, is located to the north side of Short Lane and to the east of the intersection with Route 17.
Applicant Horsley Treolo Holdings, LLC has proposed to zone the property as B-1, Business (conditional). The property is currently developed for office use in the front and is cleared with Stormwater BMP facility at its rear.
The land surrounding the property is mostly undeveloped or wooded with the exceptions of the DAV lodge to the west, Lowe’s to its south and the Gloucester Moose Lodge to its north. The reduced setback would allow for more office space and parking at Short Lane Properti...
