Gary O’Neil of Gloucester and his doubles partner, Lorie Jones of Newport News, from left, won gold medals in the Mixed Doubles Novice Division of the 2020 Virginia Pickleboo Classic pickleball tournament on Saturday at Pouncy Tract Park in Glen Allen. All ages were combined in that division. O’Neil and his wife, Darcy, started a pickleball group this summer in Gloucester. The group now includes more than 30 players and continues to gather at Gloucester High School.
