Pickleball camp

Rick and Gail Shutt of Hayes, recently held a pickleball camp for their granddaughter, Sutton, and three of her friends. The Shutts are avid pickleball players and have competed in tournaments nationwide, collecting many medals in their travels. Certified Level 2 USA Pickleball and PPA referees, the Shutts have been active in the game for more than six years. To teach their granddaughter all about the sport, their pickleball camp was held last week. Rules of the game, scoring, drills, and practice games introduced the 10- and 11-year-old girls to America’s fastest growing sport. By the end of camp, the girls were keeping score and enjoying nice rallies.
