Peasley Middle School held a Pi recitation contest on Pi Day, which was recognized on March 14 (3.14). This year’s Pi Day Champion was sixth grader Jacob Wojtaszczyk (far left) who recited Pi to the 70th digit. Additional winners, from left, included sixth grader London Busch in second place, seventh grader Carter Flippin in third place and sixth grader Jeremiah Ward in fourth place. Food Lion donated pies and Little Caesar’s donated pizza pies to the school in celebration of Pi Day.
