Pi Day

Peasley Middle School held a Pi recitation contest on Pi Day, which was recognized on March 14 (3.14). This year’s Pi Day Champion was eighth grader Paolo Ochoa-Zepeda, who achieved his goal of breaking the existing school record by reciting 271 digits of Pi by memory. Sixth grader Trace Craig came in second place by reciting 61 digits of Pi. Brendan Riffe, sixth grader, and Aden Harpole, seventh grader, came in third and fourth places, respectively. The winners received prize envelopes containing movie tickets from YRC Cinema and free pizza from Your Pie.
