Photography show winners’ work on display at RAL gallery in Kilmarnock

“Photography/Digital Art,” an exhibit of 40 works by members of the Rappahannock Art League Art Center, is on display until Dec. 29 at 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.
The show was judged on Dec. 6 by professional photographer Michael Geissinger of Lottsburg, who has worked for the White House and as director of photography at Virginia Tech.
The first-place winner in the exhibit was “Good Morning Zabrinskie Point” by Annie Barsky, which Geissinger praised for its impressive lighting and the contrast and transition from foreground to sky. “Sunset at Hughlett Point” by CarolAnne Taylor took second place and “5 O’clock Somewhere” by Terri Willis was chosen for third place.
Receiving honorable mentions were James Dylan’s “Mast,” Debbi Gwaltney’s “Foggy Morn,” Tom Martin’s “Sunset Drive,” and Robert Sutherland’s “Great Egret Reflections.”
