Phillips Energy kicks off annual Alzheimer’s disease efforts

Phillips Energy kicked off its annual efforts to help the Alzheimer’s Association of the Middle Peninsula with a summer fundraiser that brought in over $6,700 for the cause.
The summer fundraiser kicked off on Thursday, June 20—the longest day of the year—with Phillips Energy donating 10 percent of all sales at its public gas station to the Alzheimer’s Association. That evening, a community awareness event was hosted by the Gloucester Brewing Company (who donated a portion of the proceeds from the night) featuring Creekside Café and Market’s food truck, live music by Edison and Company and the local committee of volunteers working to put on this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s that will take place on Gloucester’s Main Street on Saturday, Oct. 5.
