Lindsay Phaup is the featured artist for the month of February at the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews.Phaup created an upcycled art business that includes necklaces, earrings, and rings, said a press release, and she named it Blind Bella to honor her beloved blind bulldog.
In a world of mass production and disposable goods, Phaup believes she can find inspiration “in the enduring beauty of the imperfect,” said the release. She seeks to celebrate the beauty of the past and the stories embedded within forgotten objects, and her wearable art repurposes discarded and often broken objects, giving them new life and purpose.The collection is available to peruse both in the gallery and online.
