Peasley to compete in regional science bowl Saturday

Peasley Middle School is one of 12 schools registered to compete in Saturday’s Virginia Regional Middle School Science Bowl competition at the Jefferson Lab in Newport News. This competition is hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility.
These four-member teams will face off in a fast-paced question-and-answer format, being tested on a range of science disciplines, including biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, energy and math.
The DOE created the National Science Bowl in 1991 to encourage students to excel in mathematics and science and to pursue careers in these fields. For more about the bowl, visit Science.Osti.Gov/Wdts/Nsb.
