Patterns by Design show opens Friday at Bay School
Posted On January 24, 2024
The vibrantly colorful abstract “At the Fair” by Jorge Saenz is among the pieces that will be on display during the opening of the Art Speaks Gallery’s January show, Patterns by Design.
An opening for the Art Speaks Gallery January show, Patterns by Design, will be held from 5–7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, at the Bay School on Main Street in Mathews.
The show features art that incorporates repeating patterns. Patterns can be found in nature and manmade objects such as leaves, flowers, ripples, fabric, groupings and shapes, said a press release.
Twenty-two artists submitted photography, hanging art, fiber art, pottery and jewelry for the show. Each piece incorporates some type of creative pattern worked into the artwork.
“Join us for food, drinks, art, artists and great company,” said the release. “Everyone is welcome.”
