Patrick Michael “Pat” Shortt, 53, of Gloucester, died unexpectedly at his home on March 29, 2015. 

Pat’s working career was a construction foreman for Basic Construction Company. He was an outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was loved by everyone.

He is survived by his wife Cheri Shortt; daughter, Ashton Shortt and son, Patrick Shortt Jr.; mother, Regina Shortt; father, Donald Shortt; sisters, Terry Schap and husband Dean, Krissy Howell and husband Ed; brothers, Mark Shortt and wife Brenda, and Timmy Shortt and wife Cindy, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Dr. Richard Croxton will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2015, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 2, 2015, from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
