Pastor John Peter Foster, a native of Mathews, Virginia, transitioned from Earth to Glory on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, Virginia. He was born on April 17, 1938 to the late Phillip Foster Sr. and Rosie W. Foster.

Pastor John was a devoted servant of Jesus Christ, serving faithfully in the following ministerial capacities: Evangelist and Associate Minister, White Plains Deliverance Evangelistic Center, Inc., Bronx, New York; the Anointed Ones Ministry, Inc., Port Chester, New York, under the leadership of his sister, the late Pastor Sarah F. McShaw; his home church, Zion Baptist Church, Cardinal; a founding member and ordained pastor at Believer’s Heritage Kingdom Training Center (BHKTC) in Cobbs Creek, Virginia; and Helping the Homeless Ministry of Gloucester.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl Gresham Foster; son, Elder John M. Foster, and daughter, Michelle Ross.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will occur on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church in Cardinal.
