The Gloucester community can honor the Gloucester High School Class of 2020 by being part of a Parking Lot Processional that will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at GHS.
GHS seniors and their parents should arrive between 8:30 and 9:45 a.m. in the GHS student parking lot and will be lined up, with social distancing between vehicles, to receive the processional.
Community members who want to participate should meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in their vehicles at the old Page Middle School site where the procession will form. It will be led by a Gloucester Sheriff’s deputy from the old Page site and up Route 17 to Short Lane.
At Short Lane, the procession will turn right and travel to the GHS student parking lot where it will enter and drive around the assembled seniors and their parents at approximately 10 a.m.
Organizers said all seniors, their parents and community members must remain in their vehicles while at GHS and cars should be decorated prior to coming to the school.
