Fifty-four units took part in Saturday’s 2021 Mathews Christmas Parade.
Winners were: Best Civic (tie): Mathews Historical Society and Bay Quilters; Best Church: Salem United Methodist Church; Best Antique Vehicle: Chase and Whitney Taylor’s pink Cadillac; Best Parade Theme: Mathews Maritime Museum; Best Animal Unit: Mathews Pets on Parade; Best Walking Unit: Mathews Branch NAACP; Best Commercial: The Brambles; Best Motorized: U.S. Coast Guard, Milford Haven; and Best School: Mathews Elementary Preschool.
“It was truly a wonderful day with so many creative and beautiful entries,” parade organizer Lynda Smith Greve said. “Mathews folks outdid themselves. All were winners in my book.”
