Parade, open houses and more this weekend

Another busy holiday weekend is in store in Gloucester and Mathews, including several holiday open houses, Saturday’s Mathews Christmas Parade, and more.

The Mathews Historical Museum, 200 Main Street, will kick off the weekend with its fourth annual Christmas Indoor Bazaar, beginning Friday morning. Visitors can view the bazaar tomorrow and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. both days. Handcrafted jewelry, woodworking, pottery and food items will be featured.
Mathews Memorial Library, Main Street, will hold its Deck the Halls party from 5-7 p.m. Friday. Join with family and friends in decorating one of the library Christmas trees, reminiscent of “Mathews Past and Present.” Enjoy music of the season and holiday refreshments.
Mathews Main Street Committee will hold a Night Market Friday from 5-7:30 p.m. with shops in the Main Street area staying open late. There will be carolers, holiday refreshments in the shops and a scavenger hunt punch card to look for elves in each shop. ...
